What we do at KENG

KENG has been providing programs and services to the Logan community for over 34 years. Our innovative and responsive integrated service model is funded from Local, State and Federal Governments and receives funding of $1.3M per annum.

KENG operates from a community based neighbourhood centre and delivers a broad range of services across the lifespan including crisis accommodation, emergency relief, NILS, an occasional childcare centre, Communities for Children, Home Interaction Parenting Program for Parents & Youngsters (HIPPY), Early Years Place, Older Person’s Action Program, Community Development, Family Support, Relationship and personal counselling, Skilling Queenslanders for Work & therapeutic activities.

KENG has existing strong collaborative partnerships across Logan City and is actively delivering programs in partnership with Logan City Council, Griffith University, Logan Together, Queensland Health, Relationships Australia, Salvation Army, Unitingcare, YFS, Department of Communities, Child Safety and Disability Services, ACCESS, Multilink, Education Queensland and other local community centres. These community centres includes Loganlea Community Centre, Logan East Neighbourhood Community Association, Beenleigh Community Centre and the Family Place.

KENG has established relationships and is embedded within the Logan Together and Logan City of Choice Initiative. These projects bring together a cross sectoral gathering of key stakeholders, governing bodies, non-government organisations, academics, community groups and community members to bring sustainable change within Logan. KENG’s affiliation provides a breadth of involvement from numerous knowledge bases.
