Immediate Supported Accommodation (ISA)

Kingston East Neighbourhood Group (KENG) Inc. receives funding from the Queensland Department of Housing and Public Works to operate two Specialist Homelessness Services:

(1) the Immediate Supported Accommodation (ISA) program which provides KENG-managed crisis accommodation linked with case management support to homeless family groups or those at imminent risk of homelessness; and

(2) the Immediate Housing Response for Families (IHRF) program which aims to secure short-term emergency accommodation such as a motel stay for families experiencing or at risk of homelessness and provides these families with assistance to transition to secure housing appropriate to the needs of each family.

KENG manages thirteen department-owned properties under the ISA program which range from three to four-bedroom, detached houses situated across the District of Logan City. Any KENG ISA properties that become available for tenancy are generally offered to homeless family groups requiring temporary housing. Vacancies are listed on the Queensland Homelessness Information Platform (QHIP).
