Logan Resilient Together

Logan Resilient Together
This is a free community initiative designed to empower residents across Logan with the practical skills, knowledge, and confidence to prepare for floods, storms, and extreme weather events. Through engaging workshops, participants gain a better understanding of local risks, learn how to create personalised emergency plans, and discover where to access support before, during, and after a disaster.

Our sessions are friendly, inclusive, and interactive. Everyone is welcome!!  In addition to building essential preparedness skills, the program focuses on strengthening community connections, because we know that communities that stay connected and look out for one another are far more resilient in times of crisis.

Research shows that taking simple steps such as preparing an emergency kit or knowing your evacuation plan, can significantly reduce risk, improve response during emergencies, and support faster recovery. Logan Resilient Together helps turn this knowledge into practical action, ensuring participants feel more confident and prepared for whatever comes their way.

We also partner with local groups and organisations to deliver tailored workshops within the community. If you are part of a community group and would like to host a session, we would love to hear from you.

This program is jointly funded by the Australian and Queensland Governments under the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA).
